I have a program that will only run on a screen resolution of 1280 x 1024 or greater, but the program is very graphically nothing. I s there any way to fake a screen resolution so that I can use this program on a lower resultion?

I like to look at my jpg and avi files in Tv. To do that I usually connect my laptop s-video port with a proper s-video cable to Tv s-video port. When I switch on the Pc I see the Pc monitor black and the initial splash screens of Windows Xp booting in Tv. That's all.

Before I do anything silly..like spending money when no need... I have few movies that I have recorded from TV. AVI files. I would like to copy them onto DVD-R ( 3 or 4 movies in one DVD) I have a div.x player at home.

Our local PBS stations airs half hour painting instruction programs. There are typically 4 programs to a painting. I recorded them on our DVR in the cable box and then copies them to DVD-RW disks using a DVD Recorder.
