I have a film which is in an avi format but I want to edit some frames out of it because I dont want my kids to watch them but every time I try to inport it from my hard drive I get this message avi cannot be inported because the codec required to play this file is not

my (sony) dvd player has stopped playing my mini dvds- when i put one in, i get a message about formatting the blank CD i have just put in the drive. any tips?

I have created a project and am trying to save it as DV-AVI onto the PC hard-disk. I will then use Sonic to burn a DVD. When it starts the formatting it takes >4 hours to tell me it has been unsucessful. It is not storage space, any thoughts?

when trying to download DV from my Panasonic NVGS11, Windows movie maker will not recognise the camcorde. Had no problem with the previous version of movie maker. The usb connectors and cable are all ok?
