Hi, can someone please help, I used to be able to play DVDs on my computer,
but now for somereason the computer does not register anything in the D drive
when I insert a DVD. It does however register and play Audio CDs. What can i
do to fix this problem?

    I am using Sonic MyDVD v 6.1.3 to try and import a wmv file and then
write it to DVD.  I have done this with the same software at least 50 times
before!  Of course, this time, when my son needs it for class tomorrow, I
get the message "One or more files could not be imported ...

Recently, i had to reinstall my XP OS due to a virus.  Since the re-install
none of my media files will play in Windows Media Player (regardless of
Player release #).  All codecs are installed, no content or privacy blockers
have been setup, everything I know to do i have done.  

I can't watch movies in Media Center. I use Media Center Play DVD and I get
message: Decoder Error The video decoder has either malfunctioned or is not
installed. Please restart Media Center and/or computer when I try to watch

I am trying to upload my videos to You Tube or Windows Movie Maker but they
are an IFO file. How can I convert them to WMV, .AVI, .MOV, and .MPG file
formats so that they can be played. I am unable to import them to Movie Maker
the way they are.

When I try to play a DVD on my laptop running Windows XP Pro.
InterVideo says in green "Create overlay failed, please lower your
screen resolution or color depth and try again".  I've tried a few
things that haven't worked.  Anyone else have this problem or know how

i have a video that i want to change its file type, Windows Media Audio/Video
file, to something that i can get itunes to play it. how do i do this?

I have a video file saved as .asx and I need to change it to .asf, or .wmv,
or something that I can upload to my myspace account. Can someone tell me how

I have asus notebook  a2s with Matshita UJDA 750 DVD/CDRW, the function cdrw
works but does not recognize a dvd disc( original movies dvd ). It gives a
messages of empty unit.It always worked fine until now.
