My daughter Just got a new  laptop.  There was McAfee on there and I took it
off.  I put AVG on there and it is preventing her computer from starting up.
It keeps locking up.  I have windows vista.  What is the best antivirus and
anti spyware for this?

In windows media or real player, I get (in real) the video at 1x. 2x the
video freezes but with sound. no video but with sound at full screen.  In
windows sound but black screen at full screen. What is I doing wrong?

I have a Dell Dimension 5150. When I put a DVD+R disc in, my computer doesn't
read it. I can play DVD's though. How do I know if I have a DVD burner or
not? I thought it was included or do I have to buy a burner?

I have .mpg files already on my computer.  When I play them in windows media
or any other utility they play with no problems.  I want to edit these .mpg
clips that I have in Windows Movie Maker.  However, when I import a file I

Hi, Can anyone advise if they have irfanview 4.0 and if it seems like a
safe/good program to load? Does it work with photo's and video's and could it
be used like any "pay for use software"? I loaded the Adobe 3.0 and just
moving pic's to a different file is tough on us beginners ...

I have a new store bought commercial DVD, Night at the Museum, that will not
play back on my DVD-ROM player, although other discs do without incident.  
All drivers and firmware are up to date on the driver.  After inserting the
disc Windows attempts to read the disc but fails ...

I have a new HP XP Windows Media Center edition computer with a DVD burner.  
I am trying to burn my movie made with Movie Maker onto a brand new Memorex
DVD-R.  The issue is that it won't let me burn because it says the DVD-R
isn't the correct type.  Any suggestions?

Just purchased a SONY HD camcorder (HDR-HC5 tape format)
Capturing the tape on the hard drive produces HD video file with the
extension m2t.
WMP cannot play/recognize this extension.

I have a WMV file that was generated from a LiveMeeting session (PPT slides
are captured in sync with telephone audio).
All I want to do is delete the first 30 seconds or so from the file, but I
can't figure out how to do this.
