External drive has jerky images/USB problem ?30 Aug 2007 01:48 GMT1
When I play a film on  my new external hard drive, the image freezes but
when the film is copied onto an internal hard drive, there are no problems.
As the drive seems to be working ok otherwise, I reckon I have a Windows
problem and that my connection is USB 1 and not 2

Alright, here it goes, and by "it" I mean my annoying problem. Well
before I used to be able to run all my programs fine and dandy (some
slower than others cause my video card isn't all that amazing). But
recently I can't play anything and most programs just say "memory

I am trying to make a movie using Windows Movie Maker, and I am having an

Video problems  ....Codecs corrupt?21 Aug 2007 13:32 GMT2
I have some .avi files that used to play in WMP 11 (in XP SP2). Now,
they don't work.  I do recall trying to install a codec and getting an
error. I think that is when they stopped working. I tried doing an
uninstall and I installed the DIVX 6 package.  The videos work fine in
changing orientation of video clip21 Aug 2007 00:01 GMT3
I accidently took a video clip with my digital camera and was holding the
camera in the portrait position.  Now when the video plays, it's sideways.
Is there anyway to change the orientation like you do on photos?

idea how to upload video segements from a finalized DVD+R recording into the

I've posted this in another group and haven't had a response. Maybe
someone here has seen this issue.
I have an issue when trying to play a 30 minute MPEG, I believe its
MPEG1 because not all MPEGs have this issue.

Radeon 925014 Aug 2007 05:42 GMT1
A while ago I "upgraded" from an nVidia mx 440 128 mb of ram  (vga only
output)  to a Radeon 9250.
The Radeon's vga output is awful, the dvi has sharp graphics, but the text
outpout lacks sharpness--very much inferior to the nVidia's text quality.
