Hello, all,
I need help, badly. 'Hope this is simple.
Running Win XP, home ed. My only player is WMP 11.
I have a 1 Lite-On DVDRW SHM-165H6S (only drive for my CD and DVD use.)

Everytime I want to watch a video on my computer it starts then stops and
keeps repeating the start and stop all the way through. It never plays for
longer then a split second. Any suggestions?

Have a couple of movie files in .avi format on DVD's that will not play on
some older DVD/TV players. Is it possible to convert these files so that I
can watch them on a big screen? What type of programs am I looking for?

I have some avi files that ran in media player and real player with no problems. I have updated to SP2
and now they play sporaticly. The picture comes on with the sound then quits then it starts up again
for a few seconds and repeats the same sequence all over a 9 min clip never ...

Windows Media Player 10 & 11 come with some video codec installed but which
ones?  My brother was unable to open a short video I made (MS MPEG-4 Video
Codec V3) using Camtasia.  I also tried sending it to him using the DIVX
codec and he still couldn't open it.

I have tried several times to get some general info on creating DVDs, but I
never seem to get what I want
I have Ulead Movie Factory, and I have been able to create with it a DVD
with menus, etc. that plays perfectly on the PC.

I was just wondering it is possible to burn a Divx movie using Windows Movie
Maker 2.1.
It says that this video type is not supported, so I'm thinking there's no
way to do it, but I'm hoping there's some way to make it happen.
