Does anyone know if you can manage a DVD library using Windows Media Player?
I am using the InterVideo DVD XPack as the DVD decoder but I have tried
others as well. I can play a DVD from my hard drive but I have to drill down

When I play any video with windows media player the video appears to play off
the screen to the left (out of visible range)
if I minimize the window media player the video can be seen in a small
screen attached to my toolbar

Marked and cut out the part of 700megs ,90minutes avi but when you
choose save as avi virtualdub starts endless processing into a much
larger file(instead of making it smaller), so perhaps some video/audio
settings need to be changed?

I upgraded my computer recently, as it was getting kind of old and slow.  See
components list below if needed.  After the upgrade, I re-installed XP with
SP3.  I am also running all the latest updates, firmware, drivers, BIOS,
etc...  Now I can't watch DVDs.  I have a Plextor DVD ...

every time I scan the only thing that keeps coming up is (Microsoft Windows
Security Center-Disabled)
I have Windows Firewall on.  Is there another thing that should be turned
