How do I find out which Codecs are installed on my Laptop? Which ones can / will be used by WMP V10 under WinXP Home SP3? Does WM Codecs 9 contain a full set of codecs and are they suitable for WMP V10?

I am an ultrasonographer. When I transfer the studies which are in cypress format to my hard disc, I right click on these files and select send to 'DVD'. After that I see a pop up saying files are ready to be written on dvd and that's how I make a dvd of the studies. Same thing ...

All of a sudden for some reason, none of my dvd's will play in media player. I get the message "Windows Media Player cannot play the DVD because a compatible DVD decoder is not installed on your computer." Have downloaded the checkup utility, but I'm still getting the same message.

Are there any (preferably free) programs for downloading video from the internet? I have Save2pc-YouTube which works fine for YouTube but not for anything else. I'd like something like that to get video's from other sites.
