Can't capture or import video using Windows Movie Maker22 Aug 2008 16:48 GMT-
When I try to capture video from my camcorder using Windows Movie Maker, it
does not detect it despite the fact that it shows up as a removable hard
drive (E:) while connected.  All other movie editing software detects the

Cannot add new folders12 Aug 2008 21:58 GMT-
I just reinstalled XP 2005 on my PC. I have been downloading the updates etc
as normal and have everything up to date.
I ran media centre and went through the set up procedure and finished it all
but forgot to select a folder i keep some video files in. When i try to add

I have recently noticed that when I right click an avi file, and go to
properties of the file, I was able to all the information for the avi file
such as framerate, size of the file, duration of the avi file or whichever
media it is.
MPEG-4 v3 codec vanished from list of choices (suddenly)05 Aug 2008 12:49 GMT-
I often use Microsoft's old MPEG-4 v3 in my WMV files that I have stored on
my HD. I just like the quality and vbr size to them.
But now all of a sudden, both the ISO MPEG-4 v1 and MPEG-4 v3 have
completely vanished from the list of available codecs. I'm using a program

When streaming a video, either from a website or from my hard drive, when I
click on the arrow to go to fullscreen, I get an inverted image of normal
size followed immediately by popup saying "WMP has encountered a problem and
needs to close"
