my little brothers were playing pinball on my computer and must have gotten

Where in the registry can I change the drive letter that WinXP was installed
from?
In other words when I installed WinXP the CDROM drive was G not it's J.  I
believe there is somewhere in the registry where this can be changed from G

I need to execute a command line program in a specific folder. I have used
Start, Run to open a command prompt but am having trouble using CD to change
to the proper folder. The problem is that the path includes spaces. Thus
CD program files

I'm wondering if there is a way to change the default file format for screen
prints captured using Alt+PrintScreen, from .bmp to a lower resoultion one.

Nero express the version that came wiht my computer will not let me burn mp3
cds even though i am the admin. I get an error msg saying "no compatible file
found" when i select and mp3 song. if this cant be fixed, is there any
program that i can use that i can allow non admins to ...

my d and e drives are not recognizing anything when i insert any type of
disc. when i go to my computer and click on the drives, it tells me to insert
a disc. the device manager tells me both are working properly...any advice on
how to fix this problem...thanks for your help.

Win. XP PRO group
I have a CD burner and a separate DVD Player on my Pentium III PC that has
320 Meg of RAM running Win. XP Pro. [SP2 not installed]   I would like to
know if there  is a way to play the DVD and burn the audio from it to a CD?  

After installation of Service Pack 2, the automatic start of CD´s, DVD´s and
plug- and play units doesn´t work.
Does anybody know what I can do about this?

My xp pro has no boot or system ini, when xp boots it says that is using
c:\winnt for boot up. how can i reconstruct any of these files.

i am in the process of buying a laptop, what i would like to do is
when i have first got xp on the hard drive i would like to do a backup
to a cd, as in norton ghost type of program, is the a non install
freeware prog out there that will do that.

My computer boots normally, but after the welcome screen a lot of disk
activity starts and may take more than 2 minutes.
During this time no other task can be done.
Can some one pleas explain whats heppening and how to stop this
