I have an HP desktop that's about 2 years old (P4-2.99Ghz). It have 1.5 gb of memory. The problem is that it boots EXTREMELY slowly even in SAFE mode. Once it's running it performs OK.

Had an ocassion to use SFC (syntax:-scannow) & when finished I rebooted,here is where the problem starts. After the reboot,I could get past the startup.It keept rebooting,I could not even go to "safe" mode .I finished up having toi do a COMPLETE reinstallation
