I have a data acquisition program written in Quick Basic V4.5  that I want to
run in the DOS emulation window of Windows XP.  The program outputs 8 bits of
data at a continuous rate of 4 KSPS to a DAC for real time waveform
generation.  The program works OK in a true, pure DOS ...

I have a laptop and in the past when I would adjust the volume an icon would
pop up on the desktop. This no longer happens automatically. Any way i can
get that icon to pop up automatically? The icon still shows on the task bar
and i can open it manually.

I just ran Windows Update on My XP Pro System.  The only update was a
hardware drive associate with my audio device driver.  But after the update
my audio device is screwed up...  It no longer works, and even I-Tunes can

I have two XP machines one is a domain machine one is a workgroup machine.  
When I map a drive from one to the other and check "reconnect at logon" and
