Is that anther way that I might be able to recover the use of my control panel?

When I open Windows Explorer with folders on the left, it initially
loads very well.  I get My Computer, My Documents, etc etc etc.  When
I click the plus sign to expand D: it goes well, then +Inetpub, then

I hope someone here can give me a little help and or insight to this problem:
I use the hibernate feature fairly regularly and generally have no problems
with it.  Very occasionally, upon waking up I get the following message and
two choices on the black screen:

A friend has a Dell Dimension 4600 with a Dazzle memory stick. He recently

over it. IT IS TOO fast for me.
