I created a shortcut to open a Excel document, but when I  try to change the
file type I can not get the Excel as the "open with". Excel is not in the
list of programs and it will not allow me to add it. Help please.  Thank you

I have current XP pro running with current IE-7 also running.
I can surf everywhere, even in EBAY, however I cannot open the last
link, the actual auctions.
I installed Firefox and exactly the same problem occurs. :-(

I have XP desktop connected to wireless network with Linksys USB
adapter, its been working fine for long time.
Recently the connection does not work any more
The symptom is that the wireless connection on my network will disable

My PC's hard drive recently crashed and I had to install a new one with
the recovery disk. I no longer have the screen saver function. I can set
it and apply and it does not activate. It can be previewed just want
activate at the elapsed time set.

Not sure how to frame this query but here's the problem:
When trying to view videos (such as news items or Youtube) it proceeds in
fits and starts; freezes for several seconds then continues.  Ordinary video
dvds play OK though.  Is there some setting I should adjust or what?

I have an *.LDB file in my Internet Logs Folder. What is an LDB File and why
do I need it?
I have tried deleting it but the system won't allow it.

I only noticed this the other day when I decided to do a disk check.
It won't complete the check and hangs on:-
CHKDSK is verifying indexes (stage 2 of 3)
and stays at 0 percent.

Can anyone point to MS's documentation that answers the question
    UNTIL WHEN Will XP Be Available Pre-Installed From PC Makers?
It can't last 'forever' so I was wondering..?
