For some stupid reason I have managed to delete windows disk defragger from

I purchased an iRiver 790 (mp3 player) series from ebay. It connects
to my computer ok - USB connected - but I can't run the firmware
update. The iRiver didn't come with any manuals or software, so I am
trying to play catch-up now.

Is there a way to have my computer turn itself on at a set time every
weekday? It would be nice not to have to wait for the boot up. I don't want

Recently I have started getting a desktop.ini - Notepad window with

I am having a weird problem that is driving me insane. My computer just shuts
itself off in the middle of playing a game. It happens when I play Oblivion
and when my son plays Command and Conquer. There is no warning....the
computer just shuts off. It can happen after 2 minutes ...

How do I open the screen that shows me the version of Windows installed?
Also is there a location where I can see the model number of my computer?

I'm trying to get this files from Microsoft but every link ends up at

Is there anywhere else I can get this file?

My hard drive is dying and i want to back up my picture folder, which is less
than 2 GB.  I bought a 2 GB flash drive.  Is this a good way to back them up?
And if i add more pictures to my computer later, can i add them to my flash
drive or will it overwrite what is already on ...
