Please I need help, this actually a question for an unoficial patch for a

I am using a Dell Dimension 2300 with windows xp home edition, etc. and have
a problem with the most recent release of mrt.exe (09/05/07).  This problem
has occurred in the past, but I haven't noticed it much recently, until this
update ran.  I can't run a manual quick scan or ...

In windows xp user accounts in control panel, i need to add a user in
different groups. Please advise how to do that
as i dont want to do it in Local users and group in management console.

I have an external USB drive (FAT32) that has become corrupted. I do
not believe that there is a hardware problem; at least I will proceed
on that assumption for the time being. Windows (multiple machines)
can't see the drive; Macs (multiple) can see it but can't mount it or

I have two empty files that insist they're system files, but I believe they
are the last remenents of Win-Spy which I have finally gotten rid of
(mostly!)! I can delete them in Safe Mode, but they come back eventually. Is
there a method to make them dissapear permanently???

I am trying to clean a friends computer which was plagued with several
trojan horses.  Suddenly, when I rebooted the normal Windows desktop came
up in a different mode, not the classic blue.  It is now tan.  I have no

I am trying to install ActiveSync 4.2 but I keep getting an error because it
is trying to install on a network location that no longer exists.  Same thing
happens when I try to install Adobe updates.  How can I change this setting?

therefor I post it here:
On my daughter's system  (W-XP Home ed NL) she uses the numeric KB to control
the mouse. For this the mouse control item under the accessibility control
