On Windows XP Pro SP2, my taskbar has started freezing completely. The rest of Explorer is working: i can launch new Folder windows, desktop is responsive. I am running WIndows Update automatically, so should be up to date. C:\windows\Explorer.exe is version 6.00.2900.3156

I'm using a Cruzer Micro 4.0 GB USB drive to copy files from a Windows 2000 machine to XP. It recognized the flash drive, it copied the files as well. But when I went to the XP computer, I don't see any files in the USB drive. Is there a compatibility issue, or something needs to ...

I'm trying to figure out whether users need all Office applications. Is there anyway to ascertain when the last time an application has been run? Other than in the Add/remove programs (Last used on), which doesn't seem to be accurate, is there any application that can do this? ...

Can start with F8 and partially get into Safe Mode. I can select the Administrator, or other user names, but then just get the header and footer telling me I am in safe mode but no desktop picture or icons appear and the Start button does not produce any response.

I have an integral 7-in-1 card reader. Until recently, when I inserted a card, a window opened which gave me several choices: Open in folder, Open in Picasa etc. In the last few days, this has changed. The window opens, but is empty.

i have the only admin id on teh system .. i changed the passwrod yersterday and i ve forgotten it.. is there any way to retrieve it? i made it a difficult cos i thought somebody else was also using it. and i ended up forgetting it.

My usb memory card reader was installed and i was using without any recognition or transfer problems, but then today i plugged the "SAME" port as everytime i plug, but XP said "new hardware is found" bla bla bla... I was inserting device slowly and the card was on it.
