Do I have a bad drive?
I was getting Cyclic redundancy errors when I tried to copy a file to
another drive.
One time I got a disk error that I don't remember what it was but

I keep getting this error:  can not complete the cd writing wizard
I have started the IMAPI CD-BURNING COM SERVICE
and retryed to burn my resume to the cd and it did not work recieve the same
error again

I seldom use safe mode because it causes my normal desktop layout to reset.  I have a wide screen
LCD display running in vertical mode and keep all my icons on the left side with the start & task
bar on the right.  After I run safe mode for any reason my desktop is changed upon ...

In a VB6 Form CommandButton Control through which I intend to activate an
EXCEL instance and open a given Workbook to give the user the capability to
read AND
MODIFY data according to his needs, I've put the simple code reported below.

Last week I suddenly couldn't send emails from Outlook.  No problem with
internet connection and receiving ok, but the New/Reply/Forward buttons are
greyed out.  Then I noticed that my Excel and Word files are simlarly locked.

I'm experiencing "spontaneous" rebooting. What I mean is, I'll be
surfing, doing nothing out of the ordinary, when all of a sudden my PC
reboots. No warning, nothing..just reboots.
I find this alarming from an OS stability point of view.

I've recently upgraded to XP-Pro and IE v7 browser. I can no longer change
the icons on my desktop url shortcuts. They all display the v7 browser icon.
I like to apply certain icons to help me identify and group my desktop

I have a picture archive that I store on a DVD+RW. If you right click a
folder on the hard drive and select Properties, under the properties for
that folder, there should be a Customize tab. With the customize option you
can place a picture on the folder which shows up in thumbnail ...

WinXP sp2.  My Windows directory takes up ~13 gb of disk; of that, 7+ is in
a dir named "Installer".  Can I remove any or all of those files?
