I have multiple removable HDs and USB sticks. I assigned drive letters by
applying diskmgmt.msc.
However, when I connect the devices, the drive letters are reassigned. For

Sorry to rehash this topic, but my problem seems to differ from what I see
here. I am running XP SP2 (current on patches) and IE7 (same). I can view
.pdf documents online with IE7 just fine using Adobe Reader 8.1.1, Fox-It
Reader or PDF-Viewer...except when those documents are on ...

I was installing backup applications on a laptop with  XP Home edition and
downloaded SP2.  This computer has SP1 and needed SP2 for some applications.
