A friend received a used laptop with xp pro with an admin account and a guest account on it. Both accounts are password protected, and she has only the password for the guest account. She is limited with what she can do with it.

I want to be able to copy files between 'C' drives on two systems on a LAN, both running XPSP2 with all the updates. I have turned on sharing on both C drives, but this does not seem to be enough, I still cannot access a whole range of subfolders.

When i create shoctcuts on my desktop, they work for as long as I dont reboot. Once I reboot and log back in again,a ny shortcuts created are removed. Any idea's as to why/how this is happening?

From time to time, I get an error message that says there is a problem with vbscript, with a code of 800a03ee (I have to click "OK" to get rid of the message in order to do anything else, so I can't say exactly what the message is now).
