The wave volume always returns to minimum every time I reboot. Is there a way to set it midrange, every time I want to listen to something I must raise it from the lowest level. The other levels in master volume seem to work fine.

I had a power outage and now I get the black screen that says select: Safe mode, Safe mode with networking, Safe mode with command prompt or last known good confiuration , start windows normally. And it has a countdown on the bottom of the screen.

I have to replace the hard drive in my Dell 1100 PC. But the backup WinXP is on the old Hard Drive. No backup WinXP on a CD came with the machine. My friend also has a Dell PC but is a different model. He has a backup WinXP on a CD.
