I have an issue with the logon screen on my Windows XP Home edition. I
recently format my hard drive and reinstall XP. Since then, whenever I logout
of windows and then try to login again, the cursor is not available. It only

Computer has started to beep, short beeps, which continue until shutdown, it
doesn't effect what I'm doing.
So I shut down, and on re-boot it starts again.

My computer works fine. But I could not find C:\boot.ini file. I am using

When I did my backup, I used xcopy C:\documents /e/c, but now I regret.
I cannot open the backup folder. It just says there is no data in there and
0 files reported.
How do I rescue data from this folder?
