Installed SP3 on my workstation and now all my Virtual PC 2007 OS's cannot
get an IP. No changes were made in Virtual PC.
Anyone else seen this? Any workarounds?

ever since forever, to rename a folder in the left pane of WE I had to
hit F2.
Since I did a clean reinstall on my DT I can single click the folder
and it opens rename just like the right side.

When I turn off the Windows displays the following message:
The windows are running a long operation
Wait this operation ends, or cancel it before leaving the Windows

I get this box that states:
MICROSOFT VISUAL C++ RUNTIME LIBRARY
RUNTIME ERROR:
elDH\Intel Media Server\Media Server\bin\mediaserver.exe

Didn't find any reference to the following error I'm getting when installing
XP SP3. The installation complains about installing the beethov9.wma file
saying it couldn't copy the file. The path that it is using does indeed
contain the file. Retry just repeats the error. I went ...

I downloaded the sp3 update from Microsoft, then suspended the
install in order to do a system restore point. Where is the install file
located, or, do I have to do the WindowsUpdate download etc. all over
again? TIA.

Windows is supposed to use it in the first place
Having 2Gig or more of ram will not make any difference to it

I have this major problem with my Windows XP Home.   About 2 and a hal
years ago I tried upgrading to SP2, and I was never able to make i
happen.  I kept getting the blue screen of death.    So, I just kept i
at SP1, and the computer worked fine.

I was advised to try this group. I have a client who has SBS 2003 r2. On the
VP's workstation, he downloaded
a cutesy screen saver. Then he removed it. Damage done! He now cant remote
into his workstation. Error message is that the local policy wont permit it!

After MS helped get SP3 installed on my computer 4+ hours.  I have many left
over files.
Can I safely delete them?

                   I have this problem in restarting when needed to , like
when installing updates & apps etc.
i have had it for a while , not knowing whether it is a software or hardware

I have a HP Deskject 5550, attached via USB to a windows xp SP2 PC (host),
and shared using a hidden network share (like \\pc\share$).
Another PC (guest), using windows XP sp2 used this share for more than a
year now, printing with no issues at all.
