New here, searched a bit, no on-point posts to be had ... otherwise simple question: I'm running Win XP Pro (sp2) on a basic 250gb western digital drive. Had no problems. It's connected via SATA (SATA power as well).

I remote desktop into a machine over a Juniper SSL VPN connection using version 5.2.3790.1830 of mstsc.exe. When I toggle back to my local session my taskbar does respond properly. I have to minimize all my windows and then select the one I want.

My Xp computer beeps exactly once every minute. It is the same sound made when you try to do something illegal in a game. I have checked the task manager, but it shows no applications running. How do you fix this when there is no error message to help?
