I have lost the icon buttons: Home;refresh;back;email....etc. on bar just
above address bar.  I have tried just about everything, but apparently, not

I ap running XP Pro SP2. I have some mapped disks and I'm using this
system for several years.
This morning I get an Error Message when I tried to save an excel file
which have 41 Mega bytes.

This has to do with Windows XP critical update notifications, not Office.
I installed MS Office 2007 and because I did not like it, I uninstalled it
and went back to my older office version. After the uninstall I rebooted as
required.

In my hdd, there are 3 partitions C: (NTFS) while the others D: and E: are
FAT32.
I have free up some space in D and E and thinking of giving the free space

Many applications when closed normally still appear in Task Manager.
Some exhibit this behavior all the time, some only sometimes.

Had several 2.5 and 3.5 external hard disks plus a memory stick that plugged
into the USB ports on my laptop. They have all now come up as unknown
devices. I think XP does not need drivers for these but I cant get it to
recognise them. Fairly sure it is not a hardware problem ...

I am running XP Pro V5.1-SP2. I have used this PC on this network for several
years. All of a sudden, I cannot save to the network hard drive. It is mapped
as H:, and when I open it in My Computer it says that it is 1.0GB and full,

Problem: My sleep button on the PC isnt working on Vista (or XP).
Whenever I do press it, Vista says its going to sleep. Usually on my
other PC, when I do this , the power LED blinks and I can resume it by

I seem to have lost admin control. ie; cannot enter registry "regedit"
as I get the message "Registry editing have been disabled by your

When I press start button , i never show any programs in list. I have gone
ito properties and checked all settings. What am I missing?
