I can't get my xp to restore, says no changes have been made, same problem on
two different computers

We use Acronis to image PC's.  I need to set up a dual boot system
with XP and Ubuntu.  I would like to just deploy the image using
Acronis.  Is there a way to set up a partitions and to put the XP
image on one but leave another partition for me to put Ubuntu on?  The

running chkdsk on xp media (fujitsu-siemens laptop) - nees to run at
reboot etc ...  selected fix errors etc
Restart laptop and chkdsk starts...  verifiying files (stage 1 of 5)
completes easily, but stage 2 (verifying indexes) is stuck at 0%

I have windows xp, After downloading a game it say ( need to change display
setting to 600x800 and 16 bit) so I did, now it says out of memory, so I
added
more memory. It's saying the same thing. Can someone help me out?

After I optimized my drive with Norton, my computer now will logon on
to a user then immeadiately logoff. I can't get into safe mode.
Dell says I have to reinstall windows and will lose data.
Is there any fix here?

BIOS but driver corrupt or missing. Have run Repair on Vista, Sys Restore,
retried driver installation, removed recent software... still get error Code
39. Microsoft has no solution, by default error ...

I have a folder on my f: drive (where I store my music) that is named:
f0a57f3d1c4e7056ad
IN that folder is a file named: msxml4-KB927978-enu.log

I am running XP SP3. Despite 3 attempts, critical update KB899589 failed to
download.  Not sure where to go from here.
Any suggestions?

Seeking software that can freeze the computer time one sees
in the lower right corner of the desktop.

I posted on my problem a few days ago, but I've started a new thread since

I put a new motherboard/CPU/memory/OnboardGPU in an Emachines computer.

I would like to backup 10's of 100's ... of personal pictures to dvd to
create one source for pics instead of 7 or 8 cds. How can I write these to a
dvd?
Using; Philips dvd + - RW dvd 8701as the source for files.

Whenever I restart my computer it tries to end the program "UiPopupHiden",
which does not respond.
Any idea what this program is all about and how to get rid of it if it is no
good?
