Ok, so I did a "microphone" keyword search through here and read the threads where people have posted having problems with their mics... to no avail. I'm running Windows XP on a Dell. The sound works fine, the mic works on another Dell.

Recently, I updated 2 pcs into SP3. But, I found when I click the "network neighborhood". It is okay and showing the window. However, after closed the "network neighborhood" window and re-click again. Since, I always need to use that function in sharing files with other PCs.

Several applications including all of the Office 2003 suite do not leave memory when shutdown. Some applications will not restart until they are killed in the task manager. Firefox used to do it, but the latest version has stopped the problem.

I have 512 MB of memory and want to know if there are built-in tools in WinXP Home to tell the memory usage. I am concerned that my PC is running slowly when I have too many applications open due to this, and may need to add more memory. Thanks for any information.
