If I make a change to the registry and find I must undo it, couldn't I use a system restore point rather than restoring from a system state backup? I understand that restore points capture the registry & they are so easy to use.

It seems that more and more college students every year are choosing MACs versus PCs (40% now and growing fast) and that my daughter is headed that way. I have a PC, but the evidence seems to be pretty unequivocal that, if you can afford it, a MAC is just better.

I downloaded and installed the Windows XP Service Pack 3 this morning on a HP M7690Y with 4 gig of ram. OS is windows XP Media Center Installation completed fine and went to reboot.
