I have one computer that I have been upable to upgrade to SP3. I have
spent about ten hours on it now and I can't solve the problem. This is
one of those problems that has left me extremely frustrated,
emotionally drained, and on the verge of tearing my hair out.

This morning I tried to installed a 40GB IDE disk on top of the
already installed 150GB SATA one (partitioned - C:\ 30GB and D:\

Fujitsu-Siemens laptop running XP Media centre.
When starting up, gets to blue screen (not BSOD) with "windiws
starting" but never progresses.

When I click on System on the Control Panel, and then click on the tab for
Computer Name, I see my computer is named AVS and it is part of workgroup
WHQ.  
When I do the same for another computer I see it is named Toad, and is a

Hello all, do you know the fix for the problems XP SP 3 causes.  The device
manager screen is blank, no network connection, and my computer takes a
while to load.  It may be other problems but this is a start.
