I have XP SP1 installed on a computer. I have a VGA display connected.
Everything boots fine. If I decide to boot up without my monitor connected
(or forget). Then after bootup I connect a monitor I get no video! I power
down, hook up my monitor, power up, and I see Starting ...

alll programs that have a white background show up in columns of yellow, they
still print with white backgrounds, I have up to date drivers, XP3 & current
anti virus.
How can I fix this problem?

Tried to clean my other pc with Housecall(on line) and apparently Housecall
unable to clean it. Any safe cleaner that I can use? Will Norton Antivirus be
able to do the job? Thanks

I've been encountering the message cited in the Subject header on a
particular system (WinXP Pro SP2) for
several months, now.  I believe it was caused by remediation of a

My pc reboots everytime I select a user account. I cannot even get to the
start menu. I believe that the PC was infected with a virus and I am hoping
there is a way to get into the system to remove it. Any ideas?

Is it necessary to keep all versions of .Net framework in one system .. 1.1,
2.0 and 3.0?  Or can i uninstall the earlier versions when the later

I have recently installed a WSUS 3 SP1 server and so far just about
everything looks ok.
I have approved XP SP3 and Office 2003 SP3 only and they are downloading SOO
slow.  I'm talking 4 days to do 1.5GB.  The server sits behind an ISA 2004

I can no longer input in Chinese.  Can't remember for sure but this may have
been so since I reinstalled a few months ago.  
Alt+shift still brings up CH keyboard, and Chinese continues to display
correctly, but when I try typing it doesn't come out as Chinese.

When to the run box.. typed "ntbackup" I chose to backup the c: drive. When
it asked for a location there is a folder called Backup's on a server. I
found it by clicking browse. Path is \\server\backup's\

the address bar option back on the taskbar after the Windows XP SP3 update
eliminated it.
