I was online yesterday and my computer just shut off and now everytime I
attempt to turn it back on it loads to my home screen but then restarts
itself over and over again. Even if safe mode. Any suggestions how to fix it?

Everytime it crashes, I get this error report:

I had downloaded IE 7 from MS website, but so many miseries occurred with my

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ThemeManager
this is to change the theme of the user that I am using

I am not very computer savy.  An update was automatically installed and now
I have a DU Meter in my task bar.  What is its purpose or used for?

1.  I have attempted several times to change the filters on Event Viewer
permanently.
I change the filter and then use the apply button but the change does not take.
2.  Also, over time, my Event Viewer has picked up some unwanted (categories?)

How do I find this information out without looking inside the computer?

I get these messages saying XP has blocked images in certain e-mails
to "prevent sender from identifying" my computer.
How does this work?

I disabled restore yesterday. Today Windows fails to boot up normally,
however I can start it in safe mode. But it won't let me enable restore in
safe mode. Is there any other way I can enable restore if I can't boot
Windows normally? Please help!

I use a program "Notepad2.exe" to work on my text files.  Since I installed
SP3 when I click on a .txt file it opens in Microsoft's built-in Notepad. I
thought it would be simple to change the association by going to
Tools\Folder Options\File Types and change txt to Notepad2.exe, ...

When I put a CD or DVD in drive I get the "What do you want Windows to do"
as expected but I have a strange entry in the list of actions.
It's two strange symbols on top line and on the second line "using <need
provider>", no quotes.
