I am running WinXP and I can't Turn Off or Restart Computer via the Start
menu. I have to manually turn the computer off on the tower.
It's a Gateway, so the XP software is located on a partition. But I can't
find a 'rebuild' or 'repair' feature.

Is there a way I can get rid of the Security Information popup that says
"This page contains both secure and nonsecure items.   Do you want to display
the nonsecure items?"  for sites that I have recorded as Trusted?

When I try to access the Windows Firewall, I get an error...due to an
unspecified error, windows firewall settings can not be displayed.
I have not installed any third party firewall and Defender, Spybot and AVG8
tell me the machine is clean of spyware.
