Does anyone know of a tool that will extract the author information from a
list of files?  I have thousands of old files on a shared server from many
authors that have accumulated over the years and I need to sort them out.

I recently had a crash due to Norton Ghost. Re-installed winxp fresh
installation but now trying to install other programs and some of them want
to install to my old user account e.g. C:\Documents and settings\wrong
user\local settings\application data etc.
