I am running xp home version on Dell Lap Top 1.6GHz - 250mb. A proble developed about a week ago with Task Master. When task master dialog bo come up it does not have the tabs across the top, nor does it have th kill, minimize buttons at the top. Quite frequently multiple. icons com

I powered up my Toshiba laptop this afternoon and the Verizon logo is now part of my top bar and in the Windows Search bar. Kinda odd since I'm on AT&T DSL. Top Bar: Verizon Online DSL with MSN

when I start the recovery process for this error in Windows XP and I type in "md tmp", it tells me "access denied". I can't go any further to fix the above problem. Why is this happening? Thanks for your help. Lorraine

There seems to be a bug (or at least an inconsistency) in Windows Task Manager: the CPU Usage History graph always starts with a spurious zero point whereas the Page File Usage History graph correctly starts with a valid data point.

My son purchased a PC system from an on-line e-Bay reseller which was stated to have genuine XP Pro and Office 2007 SE installed. To cut a long story short, the Microsft OGA Manager has confirmed, via supplied MGADiag Report, that the installed software was indeed non genuine.

I relative asked me why this message is occurring (along with no access to Help). It is XP Home SP2, and this problem has never occurred before. Nothing new was done, no new software installed. Any ideas?

I have just purchased a new pc and added windows xp to it, upon updating sp3 was offered which I downloaded and installed. Since installing the pc occasionally just shuts down and reboots for no apparent reason, I'm seriously considering taking sp3 off.
