I recently connected my WinXP SP2 (ethernet) to a Macbook Pro via AirPort (Space Station). The network is connected to the internet by cable - with a Vonage VoIP modem in between. Everything worked fine until the VoIP modem failed and was replaced. Now I cannot get the PC

My son changed things on my computer. I tried going to system restore and system restore has no bold dates other than todays date--it will not let me go to a previous month or date. I am using windows xp.

My system unexpectedly rebooted (apparently a device driver problem) and now clicking a Quick Launch icon causes Windows to display the icon's properties instead of launching the related application. This happens for all 12 Quick Launch icons I have.

Installed SP2 last week and since then have been bombared with little Error Message windows. There were a few settings that needed adjusting, which I've seen to. Now, I still get 'em in waves of 20 or 30 each time.
