When I connect a Flash Drive or an SD card into my computer, the AutoPlay feature does not work anymore. I right-click on each device in "My Computer" and choose "Properties" and then "Autoplay" tab. Somehow it's always set to Music files but I choose

Good Morning all, I have forgotten what you do when you want to organise the programs that automatically load up when you start your computer. I`ve got too many programs starting up and I want to stop them loading themselves.

I see that Office Depot has the HP MediaSmart with 500 gig for $600.00 which seems reasonable. I'd like to network 5 PCs, 3 with Vista and 2 with XP and printer. But in reading some of the reviews I see that HP doesn't support printers and one has to go through a bunch of steps ...

All of a sudden the appearance of all the icons in my start menu changed. For instance, instead of the Internet Explorer icon looking like a blue e, it looked like a blank box. Similar for Microsoft Word, etc. What's causing this, and how can I fix it?

On many hyperlinks I get to their web page but on the right of the page it will say something like" Comcast service interrupted while downloading this page" yet it is NOT, because I can see the page and go to more links.

A WinXPSP2 PC got infected by the "AntiVirus XP 2008" malware thing and it was removed, apparently effectively. And it appears that none of the other clients on the LAN got infected by this one. That's the good news.

I am running XP Pro SP2 with all subsequent updates installed. I'm wondering what happens to these updates when I install SP3.... does it remove them all because they are no longer needed? Or does it see that they're there and just install other stuff that it contains? Or what?

I keep getting "found new hardware" and I have not added any. How do I find out what the hardware is? The normal wizard cannot find any drivers to install, nor does it tell me what hardware was found.
