Looking for SOFTWARE (not hardware, I have a turntable) to convert vinyl LP
records to digital for CD burning and/or transfering to my IPOD.

   I used TweakUI to auto signon after boot up.  The reason is that I
want it to load the programs so that I don't have to wait when I user
the PC.  However, it would leave the computer sign-on.  I would like
it to go into the switch user interface panel.

I just bought a 22" wide screen Acer LCD monitor because I wanted one
when they dropped below $200.00.  Acer recommends setting the video card
for 1680 by 1050 which I did.  My Samsung 19" LCD is set for 1280 by
1024.

My wife's computers photos are all distorted looking yet everything else is
fine.  I don't see a way to attach a photo to this but I can e-mail anyone
some photos to see what it's doing.  Thanks in advance

Looking for opinions as to what software works best for imaging / cloning an
xp workstation.   I would like the ability to boot off a disk created by the
software and restore my image without errors.   I had been looking at norton

I am trying to open a machine embroidery file that is .blf .  I want it to
open with a program named Edit 'N Stitch.  I have 4 programs from this
company on my computer and for some reason, the only one that the computer
will allow me to put on the list is Personalize N' Stitch ...

If you install a new video card without removing the old one, will the system

I am facing a problem with the OE. I took a back-up of outlook express
mails, before formating my PC. After every thing is done, when I tried to
import those files which are in DBX format, only few files got import. Our
internal mails, which are on our firm name did not get ...

Maybe omeone can help me, but i am experiencing a weird problem.
When i am in the windows explorer, the right panel pauzes about 3-4sec
before showing the files. I've also noted that my taskbar sometimes hangs.
For me all this seems to point to problems to explorer.exe .

I had encrypted a folder under a particular user account. Now I am
unable to login to that user account probably due to incorrect
password. This means that I cannot access that encrypted folder at
all.

There are a number of folders on my Win XP Pro system drive called FOUND.000,
FOUND.001 etc. SOme are empty and some contain a file called FILE000x.CHK.
What are they? Do I need them? Can I delete them?

I've been uninstalling a lot of unused software, running spam/spyware,
installing all the updates, etc., all the usual stuff, I hope, on a friend's
computer.  It was a mess, she sometimes had to manually shut down and restart
the computer when coldbooting.

there used to be a little "arrow" that i clicked to show hidden tasks that
were not runing. . i defragmented the "C" drive yesterday and now that
option is gone. . there are ten icons in the taskbar and i know they are not
all running. . is there a way to retrieve that option??? ...

Have done this before but can't for the life of me remember how.
Want to change to text colour under the  icons on the desktopso
they show up better.
