Is there a way to get the Search feature to exclude certain file types? My searches get stuck when they run into Acronis True Image backup files (*.tib) I'm thinking that serach is treating them like folders but it just keeps running (or hangs) for hours.

I am having trouble burning DVDs with my version of Windows and the CD wizard that is a part of this Windows version. Is it possible to burn a CD with this wizard or do I need to install other software? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My XP C:\Windows directory has 4 huge archives named E, O, S, and Y, without any extensions. Each of them is 1,6 Gb big. I tried to move them to another drive, but the system doesn't allow.

Just downloaded the sp3 pack with my windows xp pro and now when I log on I try to use my help and support nothing happens I have lost that function somehow.Is there any way to get this back? If I do a restore will that remove Sp 3 which is what I would like to do.

I mapped a Home Folder using a network drive for a user profile using server 2003 R2. The mapped drive shows up ok in My Computer when the user logs in. How do I allow the Home folder to open automatically when the user logs in?

Chkdks runs on startup on my son's PC. I have searched this forum and cannot find anything relevant to this problem. I have scanned with NIS2007 and TrendMicro Housecall (online scan) and found no problems. What other reasons might chkdsk run that I could investigate?
