After weeks of trying to resolve issues with my HP, I have ordered recovery
CDs.  I have a couple of concerns...
1)  Is there anything I need to do to prep the HP before the installation?
2)  Will the recovery affect the BIOS?

We have Windows XP on one of our office laptops.  For some reason out
of the blue any time we press C on the keyboard My Computer opens and
pressing D opens the Calculator program.  No other keys open anything
else.

When I attempt to install Windows XP on a 3 GHz clone, it gets to the

Our company uses HP and Dell workstations w/XP pro.
If system crash then we can restore back with disk image.
But their disk image come with a lot of trial software,I have to remove them
one by one.

I have downloaded and installed SP3 three times already.
Just now I got a notice, next to the clock, that SP3 was downloading and
