Longtime lurker, first time poster..
    I am trying to install a new virus porgram and cannot seem to get
McAfee removed from my Dell Dimension 8400 running XP Pro.  I have run
all of the automated programs, tried to remove it using the system

I have a 1GB Scandisk memory stick and was attempting to download 340 pics
amounting to approx 380MB's on to it from my Computer (XP) and when it was
just about finished this  message popped up- "Cannot copy DSC327: The
Directory or file cannot be created."

I run WinXP+SP2 on an IBM notebook (Z770). I use Windows "classic" view.
Recently I cannot use the Desktop anymore:
1- all icons (including the trash bin) are gone;
2- I cannot copy anything on the Desktop (drag & drop);

In UK,have today downloaded and installed Microsoft service pack 3,had no
problems.
If I recall took under 1 hr (did not styay with comp during download.
Friend started his download /// install @ 7 am today,sixteen hrs later

A couple of months ago I asked for help getting my notebook back to
where a program's icon remained highlighted when the program was

I have just attached my laptop (XP Home SP3) to a printer.  I decided to
abort the installation when at start up it found new software.  Instead, I
used the 'Add\ Printer' in ControlPanel/Printers & Faxes. It works fine.
However, whenever I start the computer I alwats get the icon ...

WordPad.chm seems to be missing from c:windows\help or anywhere else. How
can I get it

When the item is selected I need to enable cmdDelete btn.
and if there is not item selected cmdDelete btn must be disabled.
The problem with the code I use (see below) is that when user change the
selected item (or when user select item for the first time) the code below

why when I organize my icons/files in a folder , close it and then open it
again my files are messed up  - I mean - the view and sort by  are not like
I set them.

I understand System Restore will not restore/protect files in My Documents,
such as doc. files, meaning  that on a restore such files will not be
affected and I need not worry.  My actual worry is to know which of the 3 My
Documents folders I have in Explorer System Restore does ...
