Recently Windows Security Alerts always appear on system tray.
I right click it and select 'Open Security Centre' and tried to press 'Turn
on Automatic Updates'.
However, the Automatic Updates is still OFF.

My IE7 gives me a "add-ons blocked" pop-up and I can't make it not do
that.
When I go into "tools", the "manage add-ons" pick is greyed out.
How do I fix this ?

I have tried to make a soft link from a local directory on my computer to a
mapped network drive on a server using the Linkd software .  is this
possable in windows XP?

I used robocopy . e:\data /S /XO , getting access denied then ised
robocopy . e:\data /S /XO /ZB , i am getting no access right.
how to grant the access right to run the /ZB command ?

I have a very slow computer and I am investigating Rundll32.exe. I found it
in the right places: C:\Windows\System32 and again in C:\Windows\Dllcache,

I am having difficulty adding a few components to my computer.  I have XP
and had it up to SP3.  I have cleaned things by unistalling and removing

Have successfully reinstalled WinXP Home Edition.
Windows update gives me choices of many updates to install, including SP1
and Sp2.

I have 2 cd-roms. According to the device manager these are working properly.
No exclaimation marks.
1. D: drive is standard cd-rom drive/F5B. Put disk in and get flashing
red/green light.
