My pc will not hibernate. I tried updating BIOS. But it did not help. When I
click hibernate, it gets to the black screen with the blue progress
indicator then it restarts.

Hi, just like it says above.  I open windows explorer and i can see the drive
as letter d:\ with no issues.  You can even double click on the drive in

This is a WIN98 question but I suppose it could apply to XP.
My friend has an old WIN98 computer that his wife uses only for her Email.
The active partition is 6GB and has alwaws been about 2GB used.

I'm considering using a 2.5" 7,200RPM as a primary C: drive for the OS
+ applications, would it run as fast as a 3.5" 7,2000RPM? i.e. latency
and throughput. I'm aware it's more expensive per GB but that doesn't
