Running Windows XP Professional
New PC has been running for about 90 days.
Loaded Quick Books 2008.  Ran fine.  (This is the only change that has been
mde recently) A week later the OS would reboot unexpectently.  In Normal Mode

If you plan to Update to the new Java 6 Update 7 be careful. If you do not uncheck the Open Office option at the start of the download it will install Open Office on your system

My computer has gone very, very slow. There are no viruses, trojans, etc, as
I've done extensive checks.  Assuming that soemwhere along the line the
Operating System got corrupted, does the installation of Service Pack 3
restore verything in the OS to what it should be?

I have recently reformated by C drive and installing programs.  When trying
to install my Adobe Photoshop CS2 I get an error message -- data1.cab file is
corrupt of missing.  Can't install.

Whenever I open a folder from the XP GUI it shows both the items in the
folder on the right hand pane and the directory structure for that

I installed EMC10(Easy Media Creator) and attempt to launch it then an
error message was displayed which said something to the effect that
DAO.msi is missing. It appears to be a file associated with the OS.

I am curious, what are the reasons that some applications after being

YMMV, but on my system (WinXP Media Edition with SP3),
two directories hang off C:\Documents and Settings, but are
invisible by all normal means that I can discover in Windows,
with one exception: if I go to Command Prompt and do a
