Recently reformatted my HD and reloaded windows to wipe out malware etc. Windwos XP SP2. Now when I click on certain programs and even Win control panel screens, they flash on the screen for a second and then disappear. I cannot get them to load. What happened?

Some days ago I ran the disk cleanup and now all the files contained in some older folders have their names in blue instead of black. I read on the internet that files with blue name are compressed files. The problem is that I can't open anymore those files.

I have been attempting to open localhost and cannot see it. All I get is Web Site Cannot Display the Page. I unchecked Windows Internet Information Services in Control Panel for Windows add/remove. I rebooted the computer and then selected IIS.
