I have an MS wireless laser 6000 v2 keyboard.
The audio volume control does not work.
When I press it the screen control image does not show nor does the volume
change.

My DVD drive suddenly stopped reading DVD disks it does however still have no
trouble reading CD,s.
i,m running XP pro on an IBM netvista pentium 2.4g
Does anone have any idea why this happend ?

Have PC. Onlyprofile on it is administrator.Me.
What am I missing on System Restore. There are partitions that I do not
need,or want, for System restore to monitor.
But "Drive Settings" in 'System Properties/System Restore' the choices are

Ran Defrag and had two 'Fragments' reported (last two lines of the log
print). One was for 6156 Fragments and one was for 7030 Fragments; the first
file is 1.51 GB and the second is 2.00 GB, and both are 'buried' deep in

I was helping my friend to set up certain things on his XP Home
computer, and he asked why his DVD player wouldnt play a dvd.
Did the usual runaround, checking this and that, then after a while I

My computer has been really slow so Norton offered a free PC checkup. I did

I am geting the boot up error missing or corrupt config system. I am
attempting to follow the instructions to restore a corrupt registry. When I

files in Windows Explorer, the name of the file (and attributes like "Size"
when viewed in Details view) are coloured blue in Explorer, some black.

I have a desktop running WinXP Pro.  It was running terribly slow, so I
rebooted.  When I got to the ctrl-alt-delete prompt, I hit the keys and
nothing happened.  I powered off and back on again and same thing.  I

(OE6) is my main email application.
Recently I installed Internet Explorer 8 and so I am wondering if OE6 has a

I am dealing with sub-folder with sub-folder on down. The folders i want to
use can be 10 or eleven levels down. nd many have long names.
Can this cause any problems? I have had issues with excel and deep-down
sub-folders.
