I have an MS wireless laser 6000 v2 keyboard. The audio volume control does not work. When I press it the screen control image does not show nor does the volume change.

My DVD drive suddenly stopped reading DVD disks it does however still have no trouble reading CD,s. i,m running XP pro on an IBM netvista pentium 2.4g Does anone have any idea why this happend ?

Have PC. Onlyprofile on it is administrator.Me. What am I missing on System Restore. There are partitions that I do not need,or want, for System restore to monitor. But "Drive Settings" in 'System Properties/System Restore' the choices are

Ran Defrag and had two 'Fragments' reported (last two lines of the log print). One was for 6156 Fragments and one was for 7030 Fragments; the first file is 1.51 GB and the second is 2.00 GB, and both are 'buried' deep in \Documents and Settings\Bill & Peggy\Local ...

I started a "move" operation to a remote Computer in WinExplorer by dragging a local folder with files inside onto a shared folder in "My Network Places". This worked successfully without problems hundred times before. However this time the folder+files were moved into local folder

When I boot up Windows XP, it gets to showing the desktop, but the a Dos window pops up that tells me it's running cmd.exe from the sys32 directory , before disappearing again. I don't recall it ever doing this before, so is it normal, but I've never noticed before?
