When I use Live Messenger 8.5 and sometimes but not always try to use the

My problem in a nutshell:
* Switch user function stops working.
* I check services. Fast user switching will not start because a
"dependency" is missing (error 1075).

I'm recording a screencast on Windows with Windows Media Encoder.
However, I'll need to splice out part of it. I can use Windows Media
File Editor to create copies of the first and second part, but I'm
having difficulty merging the parts.

I have a laptop with one HDD and two partititons (C: and D:)
In Windows explorer there is no usual icon (HDD like) for drive D (it's like
the one for a shortcut with no assignment).
What's to be done ?

I use the command 'wmic product' to list the installed software on either the
local or on a remote computer by adding the /Node global switch. It works
most of the time on x32 systems but when I use it on XP x64 or server 2003
x64 systems I get an Invalid class error 0x80041010. ...

Is there an event when the 2nd display (a TV) gets connected (turned on)?  
The display is connected via DVI on a nVidia card.  I would like to trigger a
