Where can I get a Virtual Hard Disk of Windows XP with IE6 installed for the purpose of testing website compatability with older browsers? Obviously I need one that doesn't require activation all the time.

My XP Pro clock dialog uses tick.usno.navy.mil to synch, but it looks like it does this about once a week. I don't see anyway to change that. Is there?

My wife this morning presented me with her laptop (not a tablet) with a normal-looking screen rotated 90 degrees counter-clockwise (the top of her windows) was to the left sift of the screen..... I don't know what caused it (she says the cat walked across her keyboard)

I'm running Win XP Media CenterEd. Ver 2002 SP2. When I shut the computer down a notice appears stating that Explorer.exe is still running. I have to click "end now" for it to stop, and allow Win to close . How can I correct this situation?

I just recently did a fresh install of XP Pro SP2, and updated to SP3, 1G RAM, 2.8ghz cpu I had an old 16 bit program, a network calendar/planner program for years and it worked just fine.

I have been trying to fix this problem with every suggestion and nothing. I have a Toshiba A105-S4334 with XP MCE ?SP3 and about a month ago no sound. I don't know if from update or what but I'm going nuts can someone please help?

Can services (dlls) which have closed be re-started using Start->Run-> "svchost etc? In other words if I identify a Windows dll in %system% that I want available - for example audiosrv.dll - what is the entry line to get it up please?

I cannot see thumbnail view on photos. I attempted several of the fixes in these help threads to no avail. I am receiving the following error message when I attempt to run 'regsvr32 thumbvw' LoadLibrary("thumbvw")failed-The specified module could not be found.

I get a “Drive\not accessible. Incorrect function” when I try to copy files to a CD in Windows XP. KB Article 315350 states that a probable cause is Roxio CD Creator. I had CD Creator 6 but just deleted it.

You know how sometimes after updating or installing a program, there is a need to restart? According to what I'm told, it's really only Windows that needs to be restarted, not DOS. Restarting just Windows is faster than a total restart.

I'm asking for a freind because she cant see the fonts good enuff to even type or see whats said. Anyways all her fonts have gone so faded out that she can not read them, she has tryed changing fonts and going bold but nothing helps.
