And unlike many vendors' giveaways in the past, these two additions are real, capable, and immediately useful to an incredibly wide cut of the global enterprise IT community. Specifically, Symantec has released a fully-featured version of Storage Foundation for small or edge environments (Storage Foundation Basic) and a Storage Foundation Management Server application that provides a range of unified management coordination, automation and insights across existing Storage Foundation deployments of all sizes.
