New RFID technology could end lost data tapes   05 Mar 2007 14:00 GMT
Imation today announced it will begin selling special tape cartridge labels that contain an RFID chip that can be scanned and used to track tapes through inventory lists and alerts. A GPS location system is soon to follow the initial RFID label product.
